WATSU® Aquatic Massage

What is WATSU®?

Imagine sinking down into the embrace of a 96º warm water therapy pool. The first thing your joints and muscles say is, “ahhh” “this feels ahh-mazing”. Now, float effortlessly, while I leverage the warmth and buoyancy of the water to decompress your spine, relax your contracted muscles and liberate tension with gentle stretches, elements of massage, joint mobilization, and myofascial release, specific to your unique needs.

What’s it like?

Everyone will have a different experience and each session is tailored to your specific needs. Most people describe WATSU® as nurturing bodywork that is deeply relaxing, restorative, timeless, like floating through outer space while transporting your body and mind to a place of of peace and rejuvenation. Some say WATSU® is indescribable and to to know exactly what it is, you just have to try it for yourself.

Why should I try it?

The 96º warm water relaxes muscles and decompresses joints, easing the effects of chronic pain, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, scoliosis, hypertonia, Parkinson's disease and more. Detoxification of lymph, organs, meridians and circulatory systems is inherent in the work. As you float, the buoyancy of water allows the practitioner to provide a beneficial treatment, impossible on land.

Clients receiving regular WATSU® treatments report less pain, increased sense of well-being, frequently reducing states of anxiety, depression and fatigue. An increase in range of motion and joint flexibility is noticed, influencing balance and coordination.

Over time, clients report a sense of heightened health, allowing them to enjoy more of the things that matter most to them.
